How To Make Category PowerLinks
|
|
|
|
Category PowerLinks are similar to Search PowerLinks, except that the visitor links to a Music 44 product category instead of a search result.
Keep in mind that our parent categories are publishers.
That makes it easier to display a publisher's product line in a given series.
A Category PowerLink is a good choice, for example, when you want a link to display all "Essential Elements 2000" books, or all "Suzuki" methods, or all "E-Z Play Today" piano books, or all "Guitar Signature Licks" instructional book/CDs, etc. On the other hand, if you want to include items from multiple publishers (to show ALL "easy piano" books or ALL "violin method" books),
a Search PowerLink is for "easy piano" or "violin method" is better.
Before you create a Category PowerLink, you must first locate the category code. How to find category codes:
-
Navigate to the product page of a product in the category you want to display.
-
At the top of the product page is a "Category Tree" that looks like this:
Home
> Alfred Publishing (Warner Brothers Publishing)
> Instrumental
> Suzuki Methods
> Suzuki Piano School Piano Book - DR. SHINICHI SUZUKI - Volume 1 (Revised) - keyboard Series
-
The last link in this series is a link to the page you are currently on. Click up the category tree one level. In the sample above, you would click on "Suzuki Methods".
-
The category page "Suzuki Methods" will be displayed.
Read the SearchTool keyword at the left side of the page in order to find the category code, W7IJ.
