The alto sax part is then omitted from Tracks 2 – 12 of Disc 2 so you can play along with the recorded accompaniment. The Music book has top line arrangements of all eleven pieces plus sax fingering guide.
About this series: We're pleased to announce the arrival of this new series of instrumental playalong books aimed at the intermediate to advanced student. Guest Spot - Classical Favourites features eleven extended pieces arranged for solo instrument and piano. Each piece is fully edited and will present a true musical and technical challenge to the intermediate student.
The accompaniment CDs feature a real acoustic piano - our first instrumental series since "Solo Plus" to do so. The beautifully recorded accompaniments appear on both CDs - one CD also includes a full performance with soloist, the other CD features the piano accompaniment only.
Pieces include a high-spirited jaunt through Mozart's "Musical Joke," several pieces suitable for weddings (such as "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and Schubert's "Ave Maria,") March from the Nutcracker Suite, and pieces by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Handel and Schubert, as well as an inspired arrangement of "Jerusalem."
