This innovative trumpet feature gives you the unique option of using two groups of antiphonal trumpets set up on either side of the band. All instruments use just six notes in this excellent opener or trumpet feature for your next concert. The piece uses only two dynamic levels and helps you teach accents and staccatos. For added visual splendor, consider having your “trumpeteers” hang colorful pennants from their instruments. Very easy.
About the FJH Starter Series (Grade .5): Ideal for the first several months of instruction. These pieces are a comfortable length for students and are playable with as few as five instruments. All instruments are limited to a 6-note diatonic range. Several supplemental exercises are included to help teach different elements of each piece. Each piece in this series; Uses a maximum of the first 6 notes that most students learn to play, Is playable with as few as one flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, and trombone, Includes 3-4 supplementary exercises which teach important concepts to help students learn from and perform the piece, Is moderate in length, as most beginning students are not yet able to play a full page of music, Includes well-written parts for all instruments.
