These books include the full solo part, and an audio CD with a full performance recording. The books also include a code that will allow the customer free access to a website, where they can download the piano accompaniments (for each individual piece,) as well as an audio recording (suitable for immediate downloading to an iPod) and helpful hints on learning and playing each piece.
The Featured Violinist includes fully edited intermediate arrangements of 17 pieces: Meditation from Thais, Liebestraum (Liszt), Air on the G String (Bach), Spring Song (Mendelssohn), Traumerei (Schumann), Hungarian Dance #4 (Brahms), and additional pieces by Dvorak, Delibes, Cui, Elgar, Grieg, Raff, Rubinstein, Schubert and Tchaikovsky.
The Featured Violinist Made Easy features 21 pieces for the early-grade violinist. Although many of the pieces are arrangements, generally they are simpler melodies (rather than simplified versions of more difficult melodies.) Familiar to most students will be the excerpts from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and three of the movements from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Also included - an arrangement of Massenet's Meditation from Thais (in C major), Schumann's Traumerei, Handel's Largo, Grieg's Solveig's Song, Yradier's La Paloma, pieces by Bach, Delibes, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Verdi and Tchaikovsky, and even a violin arrangement of the theme from the first movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata!
