Background Information
After Creed's Weathered tour, guitarist/songwriter Mark Tremonti co-wrote and produced this new music EP featuring Troy Stetina, Mark's private guitar instructor. Although not yet available for public release, a professionally duplicated CD-R entitled The Troy Stetina Project can be purchased online at a deeply discounted price. Listeners are asked to complete an online survey after receiving their copy so the band can gauge their reaction.
Tremonti's interest began several years ago after picking up a copy of Stetina's instructional guitar book, Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar published by Hal Leonard Corp. Tremonti said, "I still love playing some of the stuff off your Speed Mechanics book. I tell ya, you're a guitar madman!" Stetina intends to up the ante of mainstream guitar playing with the release of this EP.
