The Once upon a Time and Fantasy sections should be ethereal and very legato. In contrast, Adventure and Final Victory should be driving and very aggressive with short quarter notes. Tempos can be flexible from section to section. Be passionate; let the music play itself; and have fun! Famous myths, legends, fairy tales, and stories from all over the world - including the ancient Greeks, the Brothers Grimm, and Hans Christian Andersen - shapes cultures, mold ethics, teach lessons, and entertain. Every popular tale has a beginning adventure, a fantasy, and the ultimate conflict between good and evil. I wrote Mythos to include these many themes, which are inspired by age-old fables, magical sagas, and the epic dramas of today.

About the FJH Developing Strings (Grade 2 – 2.5): Slightly more advanced than Beginning Strings, this series begins to involve more position work and a slightly more complex rhythmic figures. Rehearsal piano is often provided. Ideal for middle school and smaller high school programs.
