This brass ensemble was first played for the National Easter Sunrise Servce held at the Lincoln Memorial by members of the US Army Band. It is written for use by 8 brass with optional flutes and percussion. However, the arrangement is especially voiced so the horn part can by ommited, and the setting will work for 7 brass - 3 trumpets, 3 trombones and tuba. Adding the percussion, 1,2 or 3 players, and flutes simply enhances the full effect of the arrangement.
